The BodyFoam pressure-reducing mattress overlay consists of cross section modular cuts on top. It is placed over an existing non-pressure relieving mattress for better patient comfort. The BodyFoam Range was originally developed in 1992, and since developed in the light of improvements in materials available. |

Key features at a glance
- Is compatible with most beds including, profiling beds.
- The modular cut foam ensures that membrane tension on the upper surface of the foam is broken: cuts in the foam ensure independent pressure response to the weight directly above it rather than to the average weight in the area.
- Modular cuts dramatically reduces pressure on the heels shear characteristics.
- Supplied with waterproof, vapour-permeable stretch, wipe down cover.
- Zip opening is set inboard and underneath of the cover, which ensures the overlay being used the correct way up.
- Cover minimises the risk of contamination: underneath zips avoid long upper side seams which risk ingress of fluids; fluids will not rise upwards
- Wide sizes available on request.
